West Java is recorded in history as the place where coffee first entered Indonesia. Java coffee, which is known throughout the world, was originally grown in the Malabar mountains, West Java.
Parahyangan’s fertile land and many highlands are very suitable for planting Arabica coffee, so it can produce very good quality coffee. Located in the Mekarwangi highlands, West Java, Indonesia, PT Teras Nusantara develops coffee plantations which are managed through integrated collaboration between local farmers around the plantation and experts in the fields of agrotechnology and agribusiness.
This innovation in coffee cultivation techniques was carried out with the support of H. Cucu Samsudin, a local coffee farmer who has expertise, experience and knowledge regarding natural and environmentally friendly coffee plantation processing.
Various research aimed at increasing productivity and efficiency, as well as maintaining consistent quality of production results in the post-harvest process, was carried out with the support of the development of modern agricultural and coffee processing equipment carried out by the Politeknik Manufaktur Bandung.
